Please peruse our FAQs below to learn more about how ShortStay Guardians operates! If there is anything that requires clarification or is not addressed below, just fill in the form at the bottom of this page. We will reply in less than 24 hours! Any longer than that is plain old unacceptable!

  • We will assign a Home Advocate that will be your “go-to” person. In the event there is a change of assignment (which is actually rare), we will transition transparently and make sure you are completely aware as far in advance as possible.

  • Just call us! We will do everything possible to make things right. We want you to have Peace Of Mind…

  • We bill directly to your credit card. Most customers have a credit card with built-in protection from the issuer, to have secure transactions.

    If you require payment via other methods, please let us know.

  • The Essential & Premium plans require an ANNUAL contract, but things change …all understandable. We will cancel the contract at anytime. We do not want to be the ones that make life difficult!

    *Please note: there is a $75 charge to cover close-out and termination- related activities.

  • Absolutely! We will be sure to provide a custom list of everything that is included.

  • We actually are launching a COMPLIANCE offering soon to grant you Peace of Mind when it comes to the new requirements of the Ordinance.

  • In our conversations with many homeowners, we learned that choppy, unreliable, and intermittent Internet service becomes very frustrating for short term visitors. We will create a heat map which will show you the comparative strength of Internet signal throughout your floor plan. In addition to that we will provide some suggestions on how to address any gaps.

  • Whether you self manage or have a property manager, we are more than happy to coordinate with any designated parties you have already engaged. Please understand that the complexity of dividing duties prevents us from creating multiple pricing plans or custom arrangements.

  • Of course we will need access through either codes for your doors or garage, or a physical key. Each customer is different, however, we want to make sure that steps are taken to prevent any security breach of information that you provide to us.

  • Actually there are some property managers in the area that are excellent and provide great services. After reviewing our website, feel free to call us so we can share what we do and you can determine whether your property manager already covers you well!

  • We create an inventory which is separate from an inspection list of almost everything in your house including furniture, appliances, and any other significant tangible items. We do not inventory things like towels, another semi-consumable items.

  • Currently, we are not licensed to handle electrical, roofing, another structural or plumbing elements. In each annual inspection we do check all outlets, lightbulbs, and any leakage around plumbing fixtures, sinks, washers, and other appliances. Of course we can refer you to licensed experts if necessary!

  • We do offer a premium package that includes “Local Home Advocate” access. While we may not always have the expertise to fix emergency items, we can certainly be your eyes and ears so that these situations can be handled.

  • Golf carts are not considered to be part of the house so we don't really do any inspection or maintenance on them. If you do run into issues, we suggest getting the premium package which will allow us to facilitate maintenance and repair on your behalf. Please understand that if the visitor has a breakdown or runs out of electricity away from your residence, we cannot always respond. Still we will do our best to help!

  • That depends! Our goal is to do whatever we can to give you Peace of Mind. We come across a lot of different tradespeople and other service providers. Just call us and let’s see if there is anything with which we can help!
